A very early cold morning saw 23 Dragons runners plus supporters leave Yeadon for the East Coast 10K at Scarborough.

After a false start (no coach driver) we departed 1 hour late for our journey to Scarborough. The mood on board the coach was somewhat quiet, but as we approached Scarborough the sun was shining and with some 15 minutes to spare before the start, the mood lifted and we were duly deposited on the seafront for the race start. The conditions and the flat, fast course were perfect for PB’s.

I counted all the Dragons out and I counted them all back. After the team photographs it was time to do what Dragons do best. Enjoy the hospitality of the local hostelries and of course Fish & Chips.

We departed Scarborough at 3:00 pm for our homeward journey and as the merriment continued we made our way home. Following a couple of compulsory toilet stops we arrived tired, but happy back to Yeadon.

Thanks for all the Dragons runners and supporters. Thanks to the fantastic weather, Scarborough hospitality and not forgetting Fish & Chips on the beach.
