October was anything but quiet for our mighty Dragons! While the nights drew in and the chill crept up, our runners were out in force – globetrotting, trail-blazing, and dancing their socks off.
Dragons on Tour
We had some serious international flair this month! A few adventurous souls took on challenges abroad at the Albania 10K, Valencia Half Marathon, and even the Melbourne parkrun in Australia. Passport stamps and finish-line smiles all round!
Local Legends
Back on home turf, our runners tackled a whole host of challenges with grit and grins this month:
- Hadrian’s Wall Half Marathon (historic views and heroic efforts)
- Manchester Half (fast, flat, and fabulous)
- Yorkshire Coast 10K (seaside sprints and salty air)
- Guy Fawkes 10 (a fiery favourite with a new route!)
- Cardiff Half and the epic Kielder Marathon—just to name a few!
Chilly Runs, Warm Chats
Despite the darker evenings and chillier mornings, our club spirit is glowing. Evening runs are still going strong, and Saturday mornings wouldn’t be complete without a good natter and a hot cuppa at the end. Layers on, smiles out and please remember to wear high-viz gear!
Singo Bingo Bonanza
We had to wrap up the month with a mention of our Singo Bingo night – an absolute blast! Singing, dancing, prizes and plenty of laughter filled the room as members and their families joined in the fun. A fantastic social night which we hope to repeat again in the future!
Here’s to more miles and more memories in November. See you at the Club, Dragons!
