Our training sessions are open to all Dragons members. If you’d like to join us as a guest to see what we’re about, you will be encouraged to run with us at a few sessions before committing to joining the club. We welcome runners of all abilities aged 16 years or older, and have three training sessions throughout the week led by our qualified Run Leaders & Coaches.
At Dragons, we pride ourselves on our sociable club runs. We meet 10 minutes before the start time at Yeadon Cricket Club for a run briefing & to ensure we are ready to leave at our advertised time.
We have a loop back policy on all our runs meaning we start and finish each run as a group. As runners of all speeds are accommodated, our Leaders ensure that faster runners loop back at regular intervals. We ask everyone to follow this practice both for the safety of the group and to ensure all members feel included and have an enjoyable running experience.
SUMMER Club Run Schedule
- Monday – meet 6.50pm for 7pm start
- 3 miles on road – pace 11-12 min/miles
- 3-4 miles on road – pace 10.30-11.30 min/miles
- 4 miles 4 hills on/off road – pace 11-12 min/miles
- 4-5 miles on/off road – 10-11 min/miles
- 5-6 miles on road – pace 9:30-10:30 min/miles
- 5-6 miles on road – pace 8.30-9.30 min/miles
- 5K-10K progression session (contact us for more details)
- Thursday – meet 6.50pm for 7pm start
- 3 miles on road – pace 11-12 min/miles
- 3-4 miles on road – pace 10.30-11.30 min/miles

- 6-7 miles on road – pace 9.30-10.30 min/miles
- 8-10 miles off road – pace 10-11 min/miles
While we try to accommodate and provide scheduled runs, on occassion we may need to vary from the schedule due to leader availability. We will inform members in advance of any changes to runs, whenever possible.
